When I first got behind the lens of a camera, I fell in love with capturing the beauty of the moment in front of me. It wasn’t staged or posed, and it was genuine – it was lifestyle photography. My work is meant to capture details that would have otherwise been forgotten. That’s why I bring a comfortable, relaxed energy to all my sessions. To bring those incredibly special moments to life, I want you to feel natural and calm in front of the camera. And of course, to have fun too! 

What Is Lifestyle Photography?

This kind of photography tells a story. It’s capturing real-life moments in an artistic way, while making you look your very best and as you truly are. Often, this means capturing you in your natural environment where we are not controlling all factors, but rather letting the moments happen spontaneously.

My goal is to showcase your personality, relationship and what makes you unique. It could be capturing your joy as you become a family of three (or more!), exchanging rings and heartfelt vows on your wedding day, or launching a business that you’ve worked so hard to build. I want to be there with you to celebrate and memorialize this incredible moment in time. 

Through this style of photography, I create beautiful images by providing gentle direction, while still allowing candid reactions to happen. I call this “candid-styling”. Lifestyle photography is that beautiful balance between truly candid, journalistic shots and posed, magazine-quality images. 

I know that not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera (myself included!), and that’s where I come in. We will get to know one other through the planning process, and during our session I will provide guidance wherever it’s needed. My goal is to make our time together laid-back and enjoyable. There doesn’t have to be any stress or nerves because the experience with me is fun and collaborative!
